About the Role
<p><strong>Interim Financial Controller (6 months)</strong></p>
<p>East Midlands<br />Up to £450 per day</p>
<p>We are supporting a well-established organisation in the East Midlands undergoing a period of transformation, seeking an experienced <strong>Interim Finance Controller</strong> to provide hands-on support across finance, systems, and planning.</p>
<p>This is a <strong>high-impact, delivery-focused role</strong> where you will play a key part in strengthening financial processes and supporting critical business activity during a busy period.</p>
<p><em>Key Responsibilities:</em></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead and support <strong>forecasting and budgeting cycles</strong></li>
<li>Take ownership of <strong>developing and rolling out a Power BI planning tool</strong></li>
<li>Provide oversight and support across <strong>tax and compliance activities</strong> (in conjunction with external advisors and group teams)</li>
<li>Deliver hands-on support across day-to-day finance operations </li>
<li>Work closely with stakeholders to drive <strong>improvements and change during a transitional period</strong></li>
</ul>
<p><em>What We’re Looking For:</em></p>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience at <strong>Financial Controller or Senior Finance level</strong></li>
<li>Strong <strong>Power BI capability</strong> – essential for success in this role</li>
<li>Solid grounding in <strong>FP&A, forecasting and budgeting</strong></li>
<li>Good <strong>technical tax knowledge</strong> (support available, but understanding required)</li>
<li>A <strong>hands-on, sleeves-rolled-up approach</strong> with the ability to operate at pace</li>
<li>Strong leadership mindset with the ability to <strong>drive change and add value quickly</strong></li>
</ul>
