<div></div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p><b>Groot / Waste Connections</b> is seeking a <b>motivated and high-energy Outside Sales Representative</b> to join our team in <b>Elgin, IL</b>. This is a <b>business-to-business (B2B) sales position</b> focused on selling <b>commercial waste removal and disposal services</b>. We’re looking for someone who thrives on building relationships, providing customized solutions, and closing deals in a fast-paced industry.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Prospect, develop, and close new B2B accounts for <b>commercial waste and recycling services</b></p></li><li><p>Conduct in-person sales presentations and cold calls in the assigned <b>sales territory</b></p></li><li><p>Maintain and grow a book of business through strong <b>customer service</b> and <b>account management</b></p></li><li><p>Prepare customized sales proposals using our CRM tool (<b>ARES</b>)</p></li><li><p>Identify client needs through <b>waste stream analysis</b>, estimating volumes and identifying recyclables</p></li><li><p>Track contract expiration dates and proactively initiate renewals</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer concerns and support service delivery</p></li><li><p>Other duties as assigned</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Why Join Us:</b></p><ul><li><p><b>Estimated first year earnings around $80,000</b> <b>- $90,000</b> (base salary + uncapped commission)</p></li><li><p>Work with a supportive team in a <b>recession-resistant industry</b></p></li><li><p>Opportunities for advancement within a stable and growing organization</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><p><b>2+ years of outside sales or B2B sales experience </b><i><b>preferred</b></i></p></li><li><p>Experience in <b>waste management</b>, <b>industrial sales</b>, or <b>route-based sales</b> is a strong plus</p></li><li><p>Self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills</p></li><li><p>Comfortable with <b>cold calling</b>, territory management, and meeting performance targets</p></li><li><p>Proficient in CRM tools</p></li><li><p>Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Successful candidates are those who seek to thrive in an environment of operational excellence and accountability.  We offer excellent Family benefits including: medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, long term disability, life insurance, 401K retirement and unlimited opportunities to <b>"Connect with Your Future"</b></p><p></p><p>Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
