About the Role
Sirius Staffing is seeking a compassionate and community-focused Community Health Specialist to support public health initiatives and outreach programs in the Chattanooga area. This position plays a key role in promoting healthy lifestyles, coordinating community-based programs, providing education and outreach, and supporting individuals and families through public health resources and services. The ideal candidate is passionate about serving the community, enjoys working directly with the public, and thrives in a fast-paced environment focused on health education, prevention, and outreach. Schedule: M-F 8a-4p Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and support public health and wellness programs within the communityConduct outreach activities, presentations, and health education initiativesAssist with case management, referrals, and coordination of care/servicesBuild relationships with community organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and local agenciesSupport prevention and intervention efforts related to public health initiativesMaintain accurate documentation, reports, and program recordsParticipate in community events, meetings, and outreach activitiesAssist with program planning, implementation, and evaluation QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Public Health, Community Health, Human Services, Health Education, Social Work, or a related field preferredAssociate degree with relevant public health or community outreach experience may be consideredExperience working in community programs, healthcare, social services, or public health preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within the communityProficiency with Microsoft Office programsValid driver’s license required Preferred ExperienceCommunity outreach and public speakingCase management or care coordinationHealth education and prevention programsWorking with underserved or diverse populationsBilingual English/Spanish is a plus Additional InformationPosition requires local travel and community-based workSome evening or weekend activities may be required based on outreach eventsCandidates must be comfortable working in various community settings Sirius Staffing is an equal-opportunity employer.
