About the role:
Justteachers is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Music Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Leeds from September until Christmas. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 and contribute to a thriving Music department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Teach Music across KS3 and KS4, including practical and theory-based lessons.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and creativity.
- Prepare students for assessments and examinations where applicable.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies.
- Support extracurricular music activities, performances, and events where required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student achievement.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Music within a UK secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for music education.
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Two school based references.
