About the Role
Grace Garden School, nestled on the outskirts of Bristol, is a nurturing and inspiring environment for young people aged 7–16 with complex needs. Through our agency, we are seeking compassionate Learning Support Assistants to join the school throughout the summer term.
Grace Garden School offers something truly unique. Pupils learn through outdoor, nature‑based experiences—from gardening and crafts to exploring the natural world. Seasonal rhythms guide the curriculum, bringing in English, maths, science and social skills through hands‑on activities that help pupils understand themselves, their community, and the world around them.

About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support pupils in both outdoor and classroom environments, helping them engage with learning in meaningful, practical ways.
Key Responsibilities
Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups during outdoor and indoor lessons
Assist with gardening, crafts, nature exploration and practical learning activities
Help pupils embed academic skills through hands‑on tasks
Encourage communication, independence and emotional regulation
Work closely with teachers and outdoor‑learning practitioners
Contribute to a calm, nurturing, and inclusive environment
We’re Looking For
Passion for working in education and supporting children with additional needs
Individuals comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
Empathy, patience and resilience
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine interest in SEN and holistic, experiential learning
Experience with children or young people (advantageous but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
