HGV Fitter

We are recruiting for a leading company in the Construction and Civil Engineering sectors. They require an experienced HGV Fitter to maintain and repair a fleet of LGV and HGV vehicles to meet Operator Licence requirements. Key Responsibilities Service, maintain and repair HGVs and associated equipment Prepare vehicles for annual tests and MOTs Road test vehicles to certify roadworthiness Complete accurate documentation and defect reporting Carry out inspections within required timeframes Work efficiently and cost-effectively on repairs Comply with Health & Safety policies and procedures Requirements Strong knowledge and experience of HGVs and associated accessories IRTEC certification essential Knowledge of Safe Loading Working Devices Ability to service, diagnose and repair specialist equipment NVQ preferred but not essential HGV licence preferred but not essential
