<p>We are recruiting for an experienced <strong>Ocean Freight Import Coordinator</strong> to join a small, family-run freight forwarding company based in Fareham.</p>

<h2>The Role</h2>
<p>As Ocean Freight Import Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing ocean import shipments from start to finish, ensuring goods are moved efficiently, accurately and in line with customer requirements.</p>
<p>You will liaise with customers, shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers and internal teams to ensure a smooth import process.</p>
<h2>Duties and Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
<li>Coordinate ocean freight import shipments from origin through to final delivery</li>
<li>Handle FCL and LCL import movements</li>
<li>Liaise with customers, shipping lines, overseas agents and hauliers</li>
<li>Arrange customs clearance instructions and delivery bookings</li>
<li>Monitor shipments and keep customers updated throughout the process</li>
<li>Process shipping documentation accurately</li>
<li>Resolve queries, delays and operational issues</li>
<li>Ensure all files are completed correctly and in line with company procedures</li>
<li>Provide a high level of customer service</li>
<li>Support the wider operations team when required</li>
</ul>
<h2>Requirements</h2>
<ul>
<li>Previous ocean freight import experience</li>
<li>Experience working for a freight forwarder is essential</li>
<li>Good knowledge of FCL and LCL import procedures</li>
<li>Understanding of customs clearance processes</li>
<li>Strong communication and customer service skills</li>
<li>Good attention to detail and organisational skills</li>
<li>Confident dealing with customers, suppliers and overseas agents</li>
<li>Able to work well in a small team environment</li>
