About the Role
My client is looking for a hands-on, dependable individual to join a tight-knit engineering team maintaining life-critical pneumatic tube systems within a hospital environment for one of their clients. They are seeking an Armed Forces veteran with technical experience or have a background in electro-mechanical maintenance, as this role gives you structure, purpose, and real impact, daily.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Maintain and service pneumatic tube systems across hospital departments
• Troubleshoot and repair faults efficiently and effectively
• Support system upgrades and carry out basic systems admin tasks
• Deliver top-tier service with a calm, can-do approach
• Work independently, with backup from a wider technical team
• Follow clear health & safety protocols and procedures
What You’ll Need
• Hands-on experience in maintenance, repair, or service engineering
• Solid problem-solving mindset—whether technical, mechanical, or systems-based
• Comfortable working with software-controlled or electro-mechanical equipment
• Good communicator who thrives in a structured, mission-focused role
• CSCS card (or willing to train for it)
• GCSEs or equivalent are a bonus
