About the Role
<p><strong>Right to buy Legal Officer needed in Luton Paying £25 per hr ref 135807</strong></p>
<p><strong>Full time hours on a temporary basis</strong></p>
<p> Key Responsibilities</p>
<ul>
<li>Manage a caseload of Right to Buy transactions from application to completion.</li>
<li>Provide legal advice and guidance to housing services and internal stakeholders on Right to Buy legislation and procedures.</li>
<li>Prepare, review, and process legal documentation relating to Right to Buy sales, including notices, transfer deeds, leases, licences, and associated agreements.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with statutory Right to Buy requirements, regulations, and timescales.</li>
<li>Liaise with applicants, tenants, conveyancers, mortgage lenders, valuers, and housing officers throughout the transaction process.</li>
<li>Investigate title issues and property-related matters affecting Right to Buy sales.</li>
<li>Draft and complete conveyancing documents and undertake routine property transactions.</li>
<li>Respond to legal enquiries, correspondence, and requests for information relating to Right to Buy matters.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate case records and use case management systems effectively.</li>
<li>Monitor key dates and ensure timely progression of all cases.</li>
<li>Assist with dispute resolution and complex Right to Buy queries where appropriate.</li>
<li>Support senior lawyers with complex housing and property matters.</li>
<li>Attend meetings with internal departments and external stakeholders as required.</li>
<li>Produce reports, statistical information, and management data relating to Right to Buy performance.</li>
<li>Contribute to process improvements and the development of efficient working practices.</li>
