<div> <h2><strong>Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Elmira, NY</strong><br /><strong>Up to $15,000 Sign-On Bonus | Full-Time | Excellent Benefits</strong></h2> <hr> <h2>Main Role</h2> <ul> <li>We are looking for a <strong>Nuclear Medicine Technologist</strong> to execute a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures in diverse hospital and physician office environments. This role reports directly to the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor and presents an exciting chance to contribute to top-notch patient care while utilizing cutting-edge imaging technology.</li> </ul> <hr> <h2>Primary Responsibilities</h2> <ol> <li> <p><strong>Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine/Nuclear Cardiology</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Execute a full array of diagnostic procedures with precision and accuracy</p> </li> <li> <p>Conduct quality control assessments on imaging equipment</p> </li> <li> <p>Assess physician orders for appropriateness</p> </li> <li> <p>Prepare patients and deliver radiopharmaceuticals</p> </li> <li> <p>Administer IV catheters when necessary</p> </li> <li> <p>Capture and process images using gamma cameras, PACS, and nuclear medicine software</p> </li> <li> <p>Troubleshoot technical and clinical challenges</p> </li> </ul> </li> <li> <p><strong>Radiopharmaceutical Preparation</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Request, prepare, and calculate doses of radiopharmaceuticals</p> </li> <li> <p>Manage Tc99m kits and bulk supplies</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintain quality control and adhere to sterile technique protocols</p> </li> </ul> </li> <li> <p><strong>Radioactive Material Management</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Supervise the ordering, receiving, distribution, and storage of radioactive materials and waste</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensure compliance with departmental, hospital, and New York State guidelines</p> </li> </ul> </li> <li> <p><strong>Therapeutic Nuclear Medicine</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Coordinate with referring offices and radiologists for therapy planning</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensure completion of all pre-testing and documentation</p> </li> <li> <p>Safely administer therapeutic doses following radiation safety precautions</p> </li> </ul> </li> <li> <p><strong>Mobile Nuclear Cardiology</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Travel to physician offices across NY and PA utilizing a mobile gamma camera system</p> </li> <li> <p>Safely transport, set up, and operate equipment in various environments</p> </li> <li> <p>Work autonomously alongside physicians, nurses, and patients</p> </li> </ul> </li> <li> <p><strong>Patient Care</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Deliver compassionate, age-appropriate care from neonates to geriatrics</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures</p> </li> </ul> </li> <li> <p><strong>Compliance &amp; Education</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Participate in accreditation activities and uphold departmental policy compliance</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintain required certifications and continuing education credits</p> </li> <li> <p>Take part in annual training and educational sessions</p> </li> </ul> </li> <li> <p><strong>Customer Service</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Demonstrate exceptional patient interaction skills with care, professionalism, and attentiveness</p> </li> <li> <p>Enhance a positive patient experience throughout the diagnostic process</p> </li> </ul> </li> </ol> <hr> <h2>Requirements</h2> <ul> <li> <p>Must have current certification or eligibility for certification in Nuclear Medicine from <strong>NMTCB or ARRT</strong></p> </li> <li> <p>Preferably possess a formal 2- or 4-year degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology</p> </li> <li> <p>Eligible for <strong>New York State Nuclear Medicine Technologist licensure</strong></p> </li> <li> <p>Valid driver’s license and insurability required</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>BLS certification</strong> mandatory within 90 days of hire</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience:</strong> One year of experience preferred, but recent graduates with drive will be considered.</p> <ul> <li> <h2><strong>Benefits You&#8217;ll Enjoy</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Competitive pay + potential sign-on bonus</li> <li>Health, dental, and vision benefits</li> <li>Generous paid time off and holidays</li> <li>Assistance with tuition and ongoing education</li> <li>Employer contribution retirement plan</li> <li>Employee wellness and support programs</li> <li>Promising opportunities for growth and training in various areas</li> </ul> </li> <li> <h2> About Elmira, NY:</h2> <p>Situated in the heart of the <strong>Finger Lakes region</strong>, <strong>Elmira</strong> offers a distinctive mix of natural beauty, local allure, and affordable living.
