About the Role
<p>Data Science LeadBangkok, ThailandMarket Research / Consumer Insights We have teamed up with a well-established market research business in Bangkok that helps global brands turn complex consumer and behavioural data into clear, commercially useful insights. They are now looking for a Data Science Lead to take ownership of their analytics capability and help shape how data science is used across client delivery and product innovation. This is a leadership role that sits right between hands-on technical work, team development, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll be setting direction, not just executing requests, while still staying close enough to the work to ensure quality and impact. What you will be doing Leading a small but growing data science team, setting standards and technical direction Designing and delivering advanced analytics solutions across large, often messy, consumer datasets Translating complex modelling outputs into clear, actionable insights for clients and internal stakeholders Partnering with research, product, and commercial teams to embed data science into client solutions Supporting the development of scalable data products and repeatable analytical frameworks Acting as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders, both internally and externally Helping shape the long-term data and AI strategy within the business What we are looking for Strong background in data science, analytics or applied statistics Proven experience in a leadership or senior individual contributor role Strong Python skills and experience working with large datasets Experience with machine learning, predictive modelling, or consumer analytics Comfortable working in client-facing or commercially driven environments Ability to explain technical work to non-technical audiences without overcomplicating it Previous exposure to market research, consulting, FMCG, or consumer insight environments would be a strong advantage What’s on offer Opportunity to lead and shape a growing data science function Exposure to international clients and large-scale consumer datasets A collaborative, insight-driven environment where your work directly influences decisions Based in Bangkok with a strong mix of autonomy and impact Competitive package depending on experience If you’re interested in building something meaningful rather than just optimising existing models, this could be a great next step. </p>
