SEND HLTA - Leeds

About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a dedicated SEND Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive school in the Leeds area on a long-term basis.

This full-time role is due to commence in September, with shortlisting currently underway. The school provides an inclusive and structured environment, with a strong focus on supporting pupils with additional needs and ensuring they are able to access learning and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering targeted interventions and supporting pupils with SEND both in and out of the classroom
• Leading small group sessions and occasionally covering whole classes when required
• Working closely with teaching staff and the SENDCO to implement tailored support strategies

Pre-requisites:

• HLTA status or equivalent experience
• Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school setting
• A good understanding of inclusive practice and intervention strategies
• Two education or school‑based references
