Senior Partner API Engineer - Messaging Interoperability (Regulatory) Contract length: 12 month contract Salary: £78,00-£87,000 Location: United Kingdom Fully Remote A global technology platform is seeking an experienced Senior Partner API Engineer to support messaging interoperability and regulatory initiatives. This is a highly partner-facing engineering role where you will act as a technical bridge between internal product teams and external partners, translating regulatory and product requirements into robust, scalable API solutions. What You'll Be Doing Design, build, and maintain APIs supporting large-scale messaging platforms Integrate and support complex third-party and partner APIs Work closely with external partners to enable interoperability Translate regulatory and product requirements into technical implementations Independently test, validate, and troubleshoot API specifications Influence product direction through technical expertise and partner feedback What We're Looking For 5+ years of professional software engineering experience Strong API design and integration background Proven experience working directly with external partners or clients Excellent communication skills and ability to operate cross-functionally Ability to work autonomously in a fast-moving, globally distributed team Nice to Have Experience at large-scale tech or platform companies Exposure to regulatory-driven engineering work (e.g. interoperability, compliance) Messaging, platform, or ecosystem-facing product experience Next steps to apply: Apply now with word document CV or email your CV for immediate review.
