QHSE Systems

As an Intern QHSE Systems, you join a team that connects processes, data, technology and quality across our global operations. You explore how Business Intelligence tools can improve the way we work, helping us become more efficient and gain deeper insights. Your work supports a strong and future proof management system that drives performance across all business processes.

You are curious, structured and ready to take ownership of your work. You enjoy working with data and turning insights into practical improvements.

• You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master in Information Technology or a related field
• You are available from September 2026 for 6 months
• You have experience with Power BI Power Apps and Power Automate
• You communicate confidently in Dutch and English

During your internship, you bring data to life and help teams work smarter every day. You support the QHSE Systems team by drafting processes, amending processes, analysing data and improving the use and quality of digital tools.

• You analyse data and translate insights into clear improvements
• You build dashboards and applications using Power BI Power Apps and Power Automate
• You support the optimisation of internal processes and workflows
• You explore new opportunities such as AI to strengthen our systems

Your workplace

You will work from our head office in Rotterdam, with a view over the Maas. You become part of a close team of around six colleagues who support and challenge each other. The atmosphere is open and collaborative, with space to learn and grow.

Our QHSE management system connects all business processes within Van Oord. It plays a key role in delivering quality and reliability worldwide. At the same time, we are exploring how new technologies such as AI can take this system to the next level.

You will also have the space and guidance to work on your school assignments, while gaining hands on experience in a professional environment.
