About the Role

Job Description Job SDescription: We are seeking a highly experienced Power Platform Architect with 8+ years of overall IT experience, including deep expertise within the Microsoft ecosystem, to join a premier client in the Washington, DC area. In this critical role, you will serve as the technical guardian of the organization’s low-code ecosystem—moving beyond app development to ensure the entire Power Platform environment is secure, scalable, governed, and resilient. You will audit complex configurations, identify architectural risks, and implement structural improvements that enhance performance and operational efficiency. This position is ideal for a proactive problem-solver who can bridge high-level governance strategy with deep technical optimization across the Microsoft stack. Key Responsibilities Architectural Oversight Conduct comprehensive reviews of enterprise Power Platform tenant architecture. Identify structural inefficiencies and implement scalable design improvements. Establish architectural standards and best practices across environments. Flow & Dependency Analysis Audit complex Power Automate flows and analyze interdependencies. Validate logic integrity, optimize performance, and ensure operational efficiency. Troubleshoot integration points and improve reliability. Security & Access Management Assess and enforce data connector governance and credential handling practices. Implement least-privileged access models and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies. Align solutions with Microsoft 365 security and compliance frameworks. Environment Governance Define and validate environment strategy (Dev/Test/Prod). Review ownership models, support structures, and lifecycle management practices. Maintain a clean, well-documented, and supportable ecosystem. Risk Mitigation & Stability Identify potential failure points and platform stability risks. Develop and execute remediation plans to ensure high availability. Improve monitoring, logging, and error-handling standards. Qualifications & Skills Experience 8+ years of overall IT experience, with significant focus on Microsoft technologies. Proven experience designing and managing enterprise-scale Power Platform environments. Hands-on expertise with: Power Apps Power Automate Power BI Dataverse Technical Expertise Strong technical audit capabilities—ability to analyze and optimize existing solutions. Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 security models and governance frameworks. Experience managing environment routing, solution layering, and tenant-level controls. Expertise in troubleshooting complex integrations and optimizing flows. Governance & Architecture Experience implementing enterprise governance models and DLP strategies. Knowledge of CI/CD practices within Power Platform (Azure DevOps or similar tools preferred). Strong understanding of scalable low-code architecture principles. Communication & Leadership Ability to translate technical risks into business-focused recommendations. Experience presenting architectural insights to stakeholders and leadership. Strong collaboration skills across security, infrastructure, and application teams.
