About the Role
Our client a leading, secialist engineering company in Sussex. They are seeking a skilled <strong>CNC Machinist (Lathe) </strong>to join their team in <strong>Uckfield.</strong><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><ul><li>Produce components from single pieces to large batches with high precision and accuracy.</li><ul><li>Set up and operate CNC lathes and sliding head machines, ordering and preparing appropriate tooling as required.</li><li>Conduct first-off and final inspections on your own work and that of other team members.</li><li>Perform general machine maintenance and clean, strip down, and tidy machines after use.</li><li>Adhere to 5S principles and maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop.</li><li>Create change request forms for any component alterations or additions.</li><li>Complete ad-hoc tasks as directed by the line manager.</li><li>Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others, in line with company policies.</li></ul></ul><strong>Requirements:</strong><br><ul><li>Proven experience setting and operating sliding head and <strong>CNC lathes (Fanuc systems).</strong></li><ul><li>Ability to read, interpret, and work from technical drawings.</li><li>Strong knowledge of dimensional measurement and control.</li><li>Familiarity with different raw materials and bar-feeding equipment.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail with strong time management skills.</li><li>Ability to work effectively independently or within a small team.</li></ul></ul><strong>Benefits:</strong><br><ul><li>Salary reflecting skills and experience</li><ul><li>20 days holiday</li><li>Monday – Friday (37.5 hours)</li></ul></ul>Apply with your CV today!
