<p><strong>Civil Drainage Engineer (Minimum 2 Years&#8217; Experience)</strong><br /> <strong>Location:</strong> Peterborough, UK<br /> <strong>Job Type:</strong> Full-Time<br /> <strong>Sector:</strong> Civil Engineering / Infrastructure Consultancy</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong><br /> We are seeking a motivated <strong>Civil Drainage Engineer</strong> with at least <strong>2 years of relevant experience</strong> to join our growing consultancy team based in <strong>Peterborough</strong>. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to develop their career within a supportive and technically focused environment, working on a diverse range of infrastructure and development projects.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities of this civil engineer position;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design and deliver <strong>surface water and foul drainage strategies</strong> for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.</li> <li>Prepare <strong>drainage calculations, reports, and drawings</strong> to support planning and technical approvals.</li> <li>Produce drainage layouts and models using industry-standard software (e.g., MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage or similar).</li> <li>Liaise with <strong>clients, local authorities, and multidisciplinary project teams</strong> to coordinate designs.</li> <li>Assist with <strong>Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs)</strong> and <strong>Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)</strong></li> <li>Support the preparation of technical submissions for <strong>planning and Section 104/106/185 agreements</strong>.</li> <li>Ensure designs comply with relevant <strong>UK standards and regulations</strong>.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Degree (or equivalent) in <strong>Civil Engineering</strong> or a related discipline.</li> <li><strong>Minimum 2 years&#8217; experience</strong> in drainage design within a consultancy environment.</li> <li>Experience with <strong>drainage modelling software</strong> (e.g., MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, or similar).</li> <li>Knowledge of <strong>SuDS principles, UK drainage standards, and approval processes</strong>.</li> <li>Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.</li> <li>Working towards <strong>professional accreditation</strong> (e.g., ICE or CIWEM) is desirable.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary based on experience.</li> <li>Opportunities for <strong>career progression and professional development</strong>.</li> <li>Support towards <strong>professional chartership</strong>.</li> <li>Relocation allowance </li> <li>Exposure to a variety of high-quality projects across multiple sectors.</li> <li>Friendly and collaborative working environment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Interested in this Civil Engineer role?
