About the Role

Sirius Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Field Technician to support one of our client's Mechanical Integrity (MI) program through field-based data collection, asset verification, and documentation. This role involves hands-on work in an industrial environment, requiring both physical activity and strong attention to detail when reviewing and validating equipment data. Pay: $21- $23 per hour Schedule: Monday- Friday, can work 5 day/ 8 hr or 4 day/ 10 hr shift Key Responsibilities Perform field-based data collection and verification of mechanical assets Locate and confirm asset tags, ensuring accuracy of asset information Conduct physical inspections, including bending, stooping, and climbing ladders as needed Assist MI Technicians with equipment data collection and data entry Read and interpret Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) Identify piping systems included in the Mechanical Integrity (MI) program Document piping conditions, including: accessibility, insulation presence, need for inspection ports highlight and markup P&IDs for applicable piping circuits Scan, organize, and upload documentation into designated file systems Cross-reference equipment on P&IDs with records in SAP and identify discrepancies or missing assets Maintain accurate records using Excel and other spreadsheet tools Qualifications Basic understanding of mechanical systems or industrial environments preferred Ability to read and interpret P&IDs (or willingness to learn) Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet tools Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently in field environments Physical Requirements Frequent walking, bending, and stooping Ability to climb ladders and access elevated or confined areas Comfortable working in industrial field conditions Preferred Skills Experience with SAP or similar asset management systems Prior experience supporting Mechanical Integrity (MI) programs Familiarity with industrial piping systems Sirius Staffing is an equal-opportunity employer.
