About the Role

<h3><strong>The Opportunity</strong></h3> <p>An established small animal practice in Chester is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join at an exciting time of growth, with new AI-supported technology being introduced to improve workflows and free up more clinical time for patient care.</p> <p>This role would suit a vet keen to explore or develop a clinical interest while working within a structured, well-supported environment.</p> <h3><strong>Working Pattern</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Full-time preferred <li>Part-time considered <li>1 in 5 Saturday mornings (9:00am – 12:30pm) <li>No out-of-hours <li>No Sundays </ul> <h3><strong>Clinical Focus &amp; Interests</strong></h3> <p>The practice is particularly interested in speaking with vets who have experience or interests in:</p> <ul> <li>Dentistry <li>Cardiology <li>Laparoscopy </ul> <p>That said, experienced consult-only vets or those with other special interests are also encouraged to apply.</p> <h3><strong>Clinical Environment</strong></h3> <ul> <li>20-minute consults <li>Structured diaries with protected lunch breaks <li>Dedicated time for calls and paperwork <li>Nurses available throughout the day to assist in consults <li>Proactive, insured client base with a varied caseload <li>Modern practice with a high-quality interior design <li>AI-supported systems being introduced to enhance efficiency and patient care </ul> <h3><strong>The Team</strong></h3> <ul> <li>7 Veterinary Surgeons <li>7 Registered Veterinary Nurses <li>3 Receptionists </ul> <p>The clinical team holds a range of interests, offering the opportunity to collaborate, share knowledge, and develop skills across different disciplines.</p> <h3><strong>What the Role Would Suit</strong></h3> <ul> <li>A Veterinary Surgeon confident in routine consults and surgery <li>Someone open to learning and working with AI-supported clinical tools <li>A vet interested in developing a clinical niche or maintaining a consult-led role <li>A team-oriented clinician who values structured working days and finishing on time </ul> <h3><strong>What’s on Offer</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Salary around <strong>£60,000 (FTE, DOE)</strong> <li>Generous CPD allowance <li>Support for certificates and further development <li>Paid professional memberships <li>Contributory pension scheme <li>Exclusive company discounts and rewards </ul>
