ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below: <ul style="margin-top: 0in;" type="disc"> <li style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt;">Enforces company policies and procedures related to program, health care and safety of consumers. </li> <li style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt;">Reviews and monitors the development and implementation of treatment and service delivery plans. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Participates in corporate and/or state quality initiatives and ensures implementation. </li> </ul> <ul style="margin-top: 0in;" type="disc"> <li style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt;">Assists in the development of the operational budget. Accepts responsibility for cost containment within the operating budget. Assures that staff adheres to company budgets and resources. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Attends all licensing reviews and participates in exit interviews. Assists with development of correction plan and oversees consistent implementation of plan to ensure repeat citations do not occur. </li> </ul> <ul style="margin-top: 0in;" type="disc"> <li style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt;">Participates and provides suggestions and guidance in Interdisciplinary Team meetings, as needed or upon request. </li> <li>Promotes relationships and provides information about the company to families, case managers, regional community, and other professionals. Communicates with parents/guardians and professionals regarding consumer needs, progress and concerns. </li> <li style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt;">Participates in various committees, such as the Safety Committee, Human Rights Committee, Advisory Council and Infection Control Committee, for optimal operations and services to consumers (per program requirements). </li> <li style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt;">Ensures disciplinary action of staff is carried out when necessary in accordance with company policies and procedures. Coordinates with the State Director for approval of all involuntary terminations. Coordinates with State HR as appropriate. </li> <li style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt;">Ensures/maintains licensure of all assigned homes/programs. Ensures implementation of policy/systems for handling of consumer and company funds. </li> <li style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt;">Oversees and ensures ongoing maintenance of the physical site(s) and grounds in accordance with state/federal guidelines and company policy. </li> <li style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt;">Investigates in a timely manner all unusual occurrences in conjunction with prompt action to prevent reoccurrence of situations that jeopardize consumer health and/or safety. </li> <li style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt;">Actively seeks to maintain full occupancy of all facilities and/or census at or above plan. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Performs other related duties and activities as required. </li> </ul> SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES <ul> <li>Directs and supervises assigned staff, including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training. Makes decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions. Resolves employee problems within position responsibilities. </li> </ul> Minimum Knowledge and Skills required by the Job The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job: Education and Experience: <ul> <li>LPN or RN degree and license required </li> <li>Must have five years of experience in the human services field and one to three years of supervisory experience required.</li> </ul> Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: <ul> <li>CPR and First Aid </li> <li>Current driver's license, car registration and auto insurance if providing transportation to individuals receiving services. </li> <li>ARF certification preferred. </li> </ul> Other Skills and Abilities: <ul> <li>N/A</li> </ul> Other Requirements: <ul> <li>Travel as needed</li> </ul> Physical Requirements: <ul> <li>Medium Work.
