<p>As part of their growth strategy, they are expanding their sustainability services and are looking for a skilled professional to lead and support projects in <strong>BREEAM (non-domestic and residential)</strong>, <strong>Whole Life Carbon (WLCA)</strong>, <strong>Circular Economy</strong>, and <strong>Building Physics</strong>. <h2><strong>Day-to-Day</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Conduct <strong>BREEAM assessments</strong> and provide guidance to project teams on achieving certification.</li>
<li>Perform <strong>Whole Life Carbon assessments</strong> and recommend strategies for reducing carbon impact.</li>
<li>Collaborate with internal teams and clients to embed sustainability into project designs.</li>
<li>Support the development of internal processes and tools to enhance the delivery of sustainability services.</li>
<li>Attend project meetings, both in-person and virtually, to provide sustainability input and updates.</li>
<li>Work from the London office at least 1-2 days per week, with flexibility to work from home or other office locations (Oxford or Manchester) as needed.</li>
<li>Assist the Building Physics team during downtime in BREEAM, WLCA, and Circular Economy projects.</li>
</ul>
<h2><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Lead and manage <strong>BREEAM assessments</strong> for both residential and non-domestic projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and certifications.</li>
<li>Provide expertise in <strong>Whole Life Carbon (WLCA)</strong> analysis, supporting the delivery of low-carbon and sustainable design solutions.</li>
<li>Collaborate with engineers, architects, and clients to integrate sustainability principles into project designs.</li>
<li>Support the development of in-house capabilities in WLCA, Circular Economy, and Building Physics, reducing reliance on outsourced services.</li>
<li>Contribute to the preparation of sustainability reports, presentations, and client proposals.</li>
<li>Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in sustainability and energy efficiency.</li>
<li>Mentor and upskill team members in sustainability practices, particularly in WLCA, BREEAM, and Circular Economy.</li>
</ul>
<h2><strong>Qualifications</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience in delivering <strong>BREEAM assessments</strong> (essential).</li>
<li>Strong expertise in <strong>Whole Life Carbon (WLCA)</strong> analysis (essential).</li>
<li>Experience with <strong>Circular Economy</strong> principles and <strong>Building Physics</strong> (desirable, but highly advantageous).</li>
<li>Proficiency in <strong>IES software</strong> or similar tools (desirable).</li>
<li>A relevant degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of energy efficiency, low-carbon design, and sustainable building practices.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.</li>
<li>A proactive and self-motivated approach, with a passion for driving sustainability in the built environment.</li>
