KS2 Teaching Assistant

About the role:
justteachers are supporting a primary school in Coventry to recruit a Teaching Assistant to deliver targeted KS2 interventions. This is a full-time role with an October 2026 start, fixed term until the end of the academic year. The school has a strong commitment to raising attainment through high-quality intervention programmes and works collaboratively to ensure every pupil reaches their full potential. Staff benefit from a welcoming team, excellent CPD opportunities and supportive leadership, with regular opportunities to develop intervention and classroom practice.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver targeted literacy and numeracy interventions to small groups of KS2 pupils
• Support pupils within the classroom to reinforce learning and build confidence
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers to inform future planning

Pre-requisites:

• Level 2 or higher teaching assistant qualification or equivalent (Must be relevant to working with children)
• Proven experience working with children in a school or relevant setting (That can be referenced)
• A minimum of two references that cover the past two years, including last employer. Ideally references will be education or school-based references
