About the Role

The Hatchery Technician is responsible for supporting all hatchery operations, including egg handling, incubation, chick processing, sanitation, vaccination, and quality control. Team members ensure the production of healthy, high-quality chicks while maintaining biosecurity, animal welfare, safety, and production standards.

Monitor incubators and hatchers to ensure proper temperature, humidity, ventilation, and turning schedules.
Transfer eggs between incubation and hatch stages according to production schedules.
Assist with chick processing, counting, sorting, grading, and vaccination.
Remove and properly dispose of unhatched eggs and culls.
Maintain hatchery sanitation and cleanliness standards.
Follow all biosecurity, food safety, and animal welfare procedures.
Inspect equipment and report maintenance concerns.
Accurately complete production records and hatch data.
Assist with chick loading and transportation preparation.
Support other hatchery departments as needed.
