ICT Teacher - Stamford

About the role:

justteachers are currently recruiting for a full-time ICT Teacher position within a specialist provision in the Stamford area, starting in September on a long-term cover basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher looking to work within a specialist educational setting that supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, learning difficulties, and associated communication needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging ICT lessons, helping pupils develop digital literacy, practical technology skills and confidence in using technology, while adapting learning to meet a range of individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and delivering engaging ICT lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Adapting teaching and learning resources to support pupils with SEN
Supporting pupils to develop digital skills, problem-solving abilities and confidence with technology
Implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies within lessons
Creating a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment
Assessing, monitoring and recording pupil progress and attainment
Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral teams and external professionals
Supporting pupils’ communication, engagement and independence
Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare

Pre-requisites:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching ICT, Computing or related subjects within a secondary setting
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Experience teaching pupils with additional needs, or a willingness to work within a specialist setting
Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
A commitment to supporting pupils to achieve their full potential

This role would suit experienced ICT teachers, Computing teachers, or teachers looking to develop their experience within specialist education.
As part of our safeguarding and compliance process, we require a minimum of two professional references covering the last two years in full, along with an Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
