About the Role
About the role: Justteachers is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive Pupil Referral Unit in Coventry to cover on a long-term basis. The full-time role is due to start in September 2026 and expected to last until the end of the academic year. The setting provides key support to primary-aged students with behavioural needs, with a focus on re-integrating them into their mainstream setting. They focus on building confidence, resilience, and academic skills, ensuring that every child reaches their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and tailored lessons to meet the diverse needs of pupils. Foster positive relationships and manage challenging behaviour effectively. Work closely with support staff, parents, and external agencies to create a holistic support network. Implement strategies to support students’ SEMH needs and encourage personal growth. Maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour, creating a safe and inspiring classroom environment. Pre-requisites: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Proven experience teaching children with SEMH needs or in an alternative provision setting is desirable. Strong classroom management and behaviour support strategies.
