Ready to lead a Year 6 class through one of the most important stages of primary education?

Protocol Education is working with a Gateshead primary school seeking an experienced Year 6 Teacher to join their team full-time.

About the role:

This is a key position within the school, supporting pupils through their final year and preparing them for SATs and transition to secondary school.

Your responsibilities:

• Delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum
• Preparing pupils for SATs with structured, targeted teaching
• Monitoring progress and closing learning gaps
• Supporting pupils’ confidence and readiness for secondary school
• Working closely with SLT and other staff

What we’re looking for:

• Strong KS2 experience, ideally Year 6
• Confidence with SATs preparation
• Excellent classroom management
• A driven, organised, and supportive approach

Working hours:

• Full-time
• 8:30am – 3:30pm
• Term-time only

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
