Cover Supervisor - Retford/Worksop

About the role:

Justteachers are seeking a Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school in Retford from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals looking to gain further classroom experience. The successful candidate will supervise lessons in the absence of teaching staff and support students to remain engaged with their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes using pre-prepared lesson materials
• Ensure students remain focused and engaged throughout lessons
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies
• Provide basic classroom support and guidance
• Record attendance and report any concerns to staff
• Promote a safe and positive learning environment

Pre-requisites:

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
• Confident managing groups of students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible, professional and reliable approach
• Good behaviour management skills
• Provide two education/school-based references from the last two years
