Linux System Engineer for RDT solutions
- Installing and integrating systems and system components into existing system environments
- Assisting our customers with their technical queries about the operation, configuration and service of the serviced system
- Documentation and analysis of reported incidents and problems
- Coordinating and carrying out root cause analyses and remedies
- Designing, planning and technically executing changes and extensions to existing systems (change requests)
- Coordinating with product development teams and/or development teams on error analysis and troubleshooting
- Site acceptance with customers
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (particularly RHEL), including updates, upgrades & troubleshooting issues
- Bash scripting
- Solid experience with virtualization platforms (VMware preferred)
- Experience with various storage technologies
- Experience with networking
- Understanding of clustering concepts
- Analytical skills to localize errors and sources of errors in distributed systems
- Precise and thorough documentation abilities
- Strong professional communication and client-relationship skills, including in critical situations and under time pressure
- You are flexible, self-driven, goal-oriented and structured in how you approach your work.
- You can integrate yourself into a larger cooperation, follow corporate processes.
- Willingness to travel on business trips to our headquarters in Vienna once per week (possibility to use a company car)
- Secondary with school-leaving examination
- University education (Bachelor's degree)
