This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the protection and improvement of environmental quality, supporting regulatory compliance and community wellbeing. The role offers a dynamic working environment with a strong focus on delivering high-quality environmental services. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking a varied caseload of environmental protection work, including the investigation and resolution of statutory nuisance complaints such as noise, odour, smoke, and other environmental impacts. You will carry out site inspections, gather evidence, liaise with residents and businesses, and take appropriate enforcement action where necessary. A strong understanding of relevant legislation and the ability to manage complex casework independently are essential. Applicants must hold a relevant qualification in Environmental Health or closely related discipline. Demonstrable experience in environmental protection, particularly in nuisance investigation and enforcement, is required. Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills are key, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
