About the Role
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Facilities and Maintenance Department and all aspects of the business by maintaining, repairing and installing new electrical systems.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine maintenance and testing on industrial electrical systems
Use of initiative to find and present faults and concerns in electrical systems
Install electrical systems to 18th edition wiring regulations
Maintain, operate all HVAC systems and associated equipment
Perform facility inspections and audits and report any issues raised to Facilities Manager
Carry out regular PPM
Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, Fire alarm system and access control systems etc
Comply with site safety procedures and requirements
Support all production shifts by means of emergency callouts
Demonstrate good knowledge of site Safety and knowledge in Risk Assessments and Method Statements
Perform general site maintenance and liaise with contractors to ensure high standards of work and on time delivery

Requirements
Essential
City and Guilds in Electrical Installations or Equivalent
5 x GCSEs or equivalent
5 + years’ experience working on Electrical Industrial machinery
5 + years’ experience in a highly regulated manufacturing / Engineering Environment
Good working knowledge of fire detection systems
Knowledge of communication network systems
Knowledge of access control systems
Valid Driving License and access to own vehicle
Desirable
Organisational / time management skills
