BMC Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join a client based in the North East.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Specify and design bespoke pumping solutions for Building Services, Water Utilities, and Industry
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers
- Provide technical and cost information to support sales and delivery processes
- Manage product specification development and support production with accurate information
- Improve and develop project order systems and document control
- Deliver timely engineering support for pre-sales tenders and post-sales mechanical translation to production
- Ensure all drawings, bills of materials, and documentation meet company and international standards
- Coordinate multi-discipline teams to fulfil project requirements from enquiry to delivery and commissioning
About You
- Proven experience in delivering engineered products and services, with automotive or pumping solutions experience being advantageous
- Strong background in new product introduction or project delivery
- Process-driven approach to planning and organisation, with flexibility and tenacity to deliver
- Customer-focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commercially astute with a drive to maximise profitability
- Proficiency with leading 2/3D CAD packages, such as Catia and Revit, is desirable
- Experience with enterprise resource planning systems, such as SAP, is advantageous
- Competent in IT and MS Office software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
- Degree in mechanical engineering preferred, or a minimum of ONC in a related engineering discipline with relevant experience
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
