About the role: Justteachers is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and creative Teacher of Art to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school from September 2026 for the full academic year . This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Art teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging creativity, self-expression, and confidence through engaging and innovative lessons. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), we would love to hear from individuals who are committed to delivering high-quality teaching and fostering a love of Art. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Art lessons across secondary age groups, creating a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop their artistic skills and creativity. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver inspiring Art lessons in line with the national curriculum. Teach students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Assess, monitor, and record student progress effectively. Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes creativity and achievement. Prepare students for assessments and examinations where appropriate. Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners. Maintain high expectations of behaviour and achievement. Contribute to the wider life of the department and school community. Pre-requisites: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Degree in Art, Fine Art, Design, or a related subject. Experience teaching Art within a secondary school setting. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for creative education. Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills. Strong communication and organisational skills. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
