COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $20.00/hour
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST
• 3-month assignment through the end of September with potential extension

ROLE IMPACT
The Collector I supports timely reimbursement by managing insurance and patient account collections while maintaining accurate account documentation. Success in this role is measured by resolving outstanding balances, reducing accounts receivable, and delivering professional customer service through effective communication with patients, insurance carriers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform collection activities for assigned patient accounts and follow established collection procedures.
• Contact insurance companies, patients, attorneys, employers, and providers to resolve payment issues, verify claim status, and secure payment arrangements.
• Maintain accurate collection records and account documentation within the accounts receivable system.
• Research accounts for potential write-offs and prepare supporting documentation for management review and approval.
• Respond to patient inquiries and correspondence while coordinating with collection agencies and credit reporting partners as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
• 3–5 years of medical collections experience, including insurance collections.
• Hands-on experience with Epic HB Resolute and Epic Claims.
• Strong knowledge of insurance claim follow-up, payment resolution, and accounts receivable processes.
