Vehicle Technician
IMH Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our client based in Halifax, HX1.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician with MOT testing experience to work within a busy workshop environment maintaining and repairing a range of vehicles and equipment.
Duties Include:
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on:
- HGVs
- Light commercial vehicles
- Cars
- Accessible buses
- Plant and equipment
- Diagnosing faults and repairing vehicle defects
- Completing MOT tests for Class IV, V, and VII vehicles
- Attending vehicle breakdowns and roadside incidents when required
- Carrying out taxi and private hire vehicle compliance checks
- Maintaining accurate service and repair records
- Using diagnostic equipment to identify issues
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Maintaining workshop equipment and MOT bays
Requirements:
- City & Guilds Motor Vehicle Technician qualification or NVQ Level 2 equivalent
- Nominated MOT Tester for Class IV, V & VII vehicles
- Full UK Driving Licence (Category B held for at least 2 years)
- Experience servicing and repairing HGVs, vans, cars, and plant equipment
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Good organisational and record keeping skills
- Strong understanding of vehicle electrical and diagnostic systems
Desirable:
- LGV C1 and D1 licence
- Experience with electric/hybrid vehicle repair qualifications
- LOLER tail lift inspection experience
Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am – 3:54pm
- £17.01 – £19.27 per hour (depending on experience)
- Weekly pay via agency!
