Assistant Technical Manager

<p><strong>Role:</strong>&nbsp;Assistant Technical Manager<br /> <strong>Location:</strong>&nbsp;Ballymena<br /> <strong>Hours:</strong>Mon&ndash;Thurs 8am&ndash;4:30pm, Fri 8am&ndash;3:30pm<br /> <strong>Pay:</strong>&nbsp;&pound;45,000 to &pound;50,000</p> <p>An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Technical Manager to join a leading food manufacturing business in Ballymena. This Assistant Technical Manager role is ideal for someone with strong food safety, quality assurance and audit experience looking to progress within a fast-paced chilled food environment.</p> <p>The successful Assistant Technical Manager will support the Technical Manager, lead the QA function on site and help drive food safety, compliance and continuous improvement standards across the factory.</p> <p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary</li> <li>Early finish every Friday</li> <li>Pension</li> <li>Staff Discount</li> <li>BUPA Healthcare</li> <li>32 days leave</li> </ul> <p><strong>The Role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support continuous improvement projects across food safety and quality standards</li> <li>Investigate complaints, non-conformances and corrective actions</li> <li>Lead the Quality Assurance team and support daily technical operations</li> <li>Ensure compliance with company standards, legislation, BRC and retailer requirements</li> <li>Participate in HACCP, allergen, integrity and internal audit programmes</li> <li>Lead technical audits and customer visits, ensuring the site remains audit ready</li> <li>Coach and support operations, engineering and QA teams to strengthen food safety culture</li> </ul> <p><strong>The Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>HNC or Degree qualification in Food Science, Food Technology or related discipline</li> <li>Strong understanding of food manufacturing standards including BRC and retailer COPs</li> <li>Experience working within a chilled food manufacturing environment</li> <li>Knowledge of microbiology, food safety and quality systems</li> <li>HACCP and Food Safety qualifications (minimum Level 3)</li> </ul> <p>If this sounds like your next role hit apply or call 02890099211 and ask for David.</p>
