Are you a nurturing EYFS teacher with a passion for supporting young children with special educational needs from the very start of their learning journey?Tradewind Recruitment is proud to support a specialist SEN primary school in the North Lincolnshire area, dedicated to providing early years children with Autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs with the nurturing, structured support they need to thrive.This is more than a teaching job-it's a chance to help young children take their very first steps toward confidence, communication, and independence.The Role - EYFS SEN TeacherAs an EYFS SEN Teacher, you'll lead a small class of children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in a specialist school environment. You'll plan multi-sensory, play-based activities that develop communication, social interaction, and early learning skills-while supporting emotional regulation and independence.Your responsibilities will include:Delivering a tailored early years curriculum for children with Autism and complex needsCreating a safe, predictable, and stimulating classroom where each child is supported and celebratedUsing specialist strategies like PECS, Makaton, TEACCH, and sensory integration techniquesLeading and working alongside skilled teaching assistants to meet daily care and learning needsSetting personalised targets and contributing to IEPs and EHCP reviews to track and celebrate every small step of progressCollaborating with therapists, families, and SENCOs to ensure holistic, child-centred supportWhat We're Looking ForWe're seeking someone with the skills, sensitivity, and dedication to nurture young children with diverse needs.You will need:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (EYTS considered with relevant SEN experience)Experience in an EYFS setting, ideally with children with SENDKnowledge of Autism, learning disabilities, and early childhood developmentFamiliarity with early communication strategies (e.g., PECS, Makaton, AAC)A calm, patient and positive approach to managing behaviour and sensory needsCommitment to inclusive practice and personalised learningDesirable:Experience working in a special school, Autism unit, or EYFS nurture provisionTraining in Team Teach, Attention Autism, or Zones of RegulationWhat We OfferA rewarding opportunity to shape the start of a child's education journeyA supportive and compassionate school environmentAccess to high-quality CPD and specialist SEN trainingSmall class sizes with excellent TA supportCompetitive pay reflective of experience and impactHow to ApplyIf you're ready to make a lasting difference in the lives of children who need it most, we'd love to hear from you.Send your CV to Matt Ball at: matt.ball@twrecruitment.comOr call 01482 238 878 for a confidential chat
