Accountant

<p>Anderson Knight Recruitment is working with a growing accountancy team to recruit an Accountant to support the delivery of high-quality financial reporting for a diverse client base.</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong><br /> Following continued growth and the onboarding of new clients, our client is looking to strengthen their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and professional working environment. As an Accountant, you will typically manage 3–4 clients directly, so confidence in client-facing situations and strong interpersonal skills are important.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Act as the primary contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial reporting</li> <li>Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, including management account packs</li> <li>Produce standalone and consolidated financial statements under FRS 102 and IFRS (experience desirable but not essential)</li> <li>Complete bank reconciliations and full trial balance work</li> <li>Prepare and submit VAT and CIS returns</li> <li>Perform financial analysis and support investor reporting</li> <li>Assist with NAV calculations and due diligence for acquisitions or disposals</li> <li>Identify and suggest improvements to processes, supporting implementation with senior management</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <ul> <li>Part-qualified or studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CA) is preferred; experienced, qualified candidates are also welcome</li> <li>Experience preparing management accounts, VAT/CIS returns, and trial balances</li> <li>Exposure to financial statement preparation under FRS 102/IFRS is an advantage</li> <li>Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills</li> <li>Confident in client-facing situations, professional and articulate</li> <li>Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented</li> </ul> <p><strong>What’s On Offer</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work with a reputable, expanding team with clients across the UK and Europe</li> <li>Exposure to complex and varied financial structures</li> <li>Supportive team culture with opportunities for career development</li> <li>A chance to contribute meaningfully to a growing accounting function</li> </ul> <p>If you are an accountant with strong technical skills, client focus, and a proactive approach, we would like to hear from you.
