Electrical Technician Electrical Technician Back to list Apply Maintenance 46513 United States, Alabama, Muscle Shoals Remote Position:  No March 25th, 2026 Internship:  No Apprenticeship:  No Job Summary: To assist plant operations in running efficient with minimal downtime.   Responsibilities: Troubleshoot, repair, and replace PLCs and related hardware Be able to maintain and troubleshoot mill control systems, I/O schematics, motor control diagnostics on DC and AC, high voltage power systems 6900 Perform routine preventative maintenance procedures as per scheduled Knowledge in Relay logic Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments Ability to read and follow drawings and document / communicate all machine control modifications to electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to diagnose the root cause of the problem Provide input for documentation and electronic versions of all electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics including panel High School diploma or equivalent required with over 7 years of electrical maintenance in and manufacturing setting or a two- year Industrial Maintenance degree with 3 years or more of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.  Must be a Journeyman certified electrician or equivalent which will include providing documentation of 1080 program hours of industrial electrician experience. Ability to demonstrate skills at a Journeyman level. Perform layout, assembly, and wiring of component parts in installation, replacement and repair of systems and equipment; make sketches for fabrication of repair parts.   Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required with over 5 years of electrical maintenance in and manufacturing setting or a two- year Industrial Maintenance degree with 3 years or more of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.  Must be a Journeyman certified electrician or equivalent which will include providing documentation of 1080 program hours of industrial electrician experience. Ability to demonstrate skills at a Journeyman level. Industrial motor control (A/C & D/C Controls) Computers skills / computer operated control systems Use power saws, drills, hammers, presses and grinders, ovens, dip tanks, dynamic balancer, gas and electric welding and cutting equipment, dial indicators, rules, tapes, micrometers, squares, levels, flow and pressure meters, lubricating equipment, handling equipment such as jacks, hoists, cranes and trucks; hand and powered cleaning tools; hand tools common to the trade and P.C. Must be willing to work a rotating schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
