About the Company (Confidential)

We're working with a high-growth, venture-backed AI SaaS company transforming how enterprises operate through intelligent systems and real-time data infrastructure.

The company is scaling rapidly, has strong product-market fit, and is tackling complex challenges around data orchestration, integrations, and operational intelligence at enterprise scale.

Why This Role Matters

This is a mission-critical leadership role responsible for building and scaling the systems that power integrations across the platform.

You'll operate in a true player-coach capacity-leading a team while remaining deeply embedded in architecture and development. If you're looking for a role where you can own systems end-to-end, influence technical direction, and build a high-performing team, this is it.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead Through Building

  • Architect and develop scalable integration infrastructure (APIs, webhooks, data pipelines)
  • Drive reliability and performance for near real-time data synchronization
  • Write production code, review PRs, and set technical standards across the team
  • Own architectural decisions for distributed systems and data flow

Lead Through People

  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of engineers
  • Build a strong engineering culture rooted in ownership and accountability
  • Drive hiring and scaling efforts for the team
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership on roadmap and execution

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience building scalable backend or distributed systems
  • 2+ years as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager with direct reports
  • Strong background in integration systems (APIs, ETL pipelines, webhooks, iPaaS)
  • Experience with modern backend stacks (TypeScript preferred; Python or Ruby a plus)
  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, data systems, and system design
  • Proven ability to balance hands-on execution with team leadership

What Makes You Stand Out

  • You enjoy being close to the code while leading others
  • You've built systems that operate at scale with high reliability
  • You've thrived in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • You bring strong technical judgement and a collaborative leadership style

What You'll Get

  • Top-of-market compensation (up to $300K base + meaningful equity)
  • Opportunity to own critical infrastructure at a scaling company
  • High visibility with leadership and real influence on technical direction
  • A strong engineering culture with a focus on quality and impact

Apply

If you're a hands-on engineering leader ready to build and scale critical systems while developing top talent, we'd love to hear from you
