Eden Brown Synergy currently looking for an experienced and motivated Permanent Social Worker to join their Looked After Children (LAC) Team with Southend-on-Sea City Council. Job Title: (Perm) Social Worker - Looked After Children (LAC) Team Location: Civic 1 (Southend-on-Sea,Essex) SS2 6ER Pay Rate: Upto £39,152.00 per Annum The RoleSouthend-on-Sea City Council is seeking a committed and experienced Social Worker to join our Looked After Children (LAC) Team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting difference to the lives of children and young people in care by supporting them to achieve stability, permanence, and positive outcomes.a Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of Looked After Children in line with statutory requirements. Develop, implement, and review care plans to ensure children achieve permanence and stability. Undertake statutory visits, assessments, and pathway planning. Prepare reports for reviews and court proceedings where required. Work collaboratively with foster carers, families, schools, health professionals, and partner agencies. Promote the welfare, education, health, and emotional wellbeing of children and young people in care About You We are looking for a Social Worker who: Is qualified and registered with Social Work England. Has experience working within a Looked After Children / Children in Care team. Demonstrates strong knowledge of relevant legislation, care planning, and permanence frameworks. Is child-centred, resilient, and able to manage a varied caseload effectively. Has excellent assessment, report writing, and court work skills.
