About the Role
<p><strong> CNC Miller Setter Operator</strong></p>
<p><strong>Location:</strong> Coventry<br />
<strong>Hours: Double days</strong><br />
<strong>Salary:</strong> £16.69 an hour</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities of a CNC Miller Setter Operator</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Set up and operate milling machines and associated equipment safely and efficiently.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Produce components in accordance with technical drawings, route cards, and work instructions.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Carry out tool changes, offset adjustments, and machine parameter settings as required.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Conduct quality checks using appropriate measuring and gauging equipment and ensure all documentation is accurately completed.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Maintain and improve 5S standards on the shop floor.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Participate in routine maintenance and Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) activities.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Identify and highlight opportunities for process and efficiency improvements.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Ensure compliance with all departmental and company quality standards.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Work safely and report any health and safety risks.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Train and support other operators as required.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Liaise with other departments to support production schedules.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Perform any additional ad-hoc duties as necessary.</p>
</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Key Skills of a CNC Miller Setter Operator</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>CNC or manual milling machine experience.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Teamworking and mentoring capability.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Knowledge of TPM and 5S principles.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Good organisational and time management skills.</p>
</li>
</ul>
