About the Role
Quality Analysts (Technical Process)
Location: Whitsett, NC
Pay Rate: $21/hr
Schedule: Mon–Fri 6a – 4p
This specialized role is responsible for the analysis, optimization, and documentation of manufacturing processes, quality controls, and new product introductions (NPI). The position requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work directly on the production floor in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Optimize production processes and support manufacturing efficiency through analysis and time/motion studies
Conduct process and quality audits on production lines, performing visual and physical inspections for defects
Introduce new products (NPI) to manufacturing and manage the transition to mass production
Support the design of manufacturing resources, labor requirements, and tooling needs
Prepare, update, and maintain process documentation, including LOB, procedures, SFC, training materials, and layouts (often using AutoCAD)
Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) and Engineering Change (EC) data using systems such as SAP
Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma tools
Develop action plans for production or quality issues and perform root cause analysis using tools such as Ishikawa/Fishbone, FMEA, and 8D
Ensure manufacturing standards and procedures are followed and maintain accountability for quality outcomes
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Standards and compliance enforcement
Validation and defect detection
Technical understanding of quality processes and manufacturing operations
Knowledge of quality tools such as PDCA, FMEA, and 8D
Lean Six Sigma knowledge or certification (Yellow or Green Belt preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD and SAP is a plus
Ability to document processes accurately and communicate issues effectively
Awareness of how quality impacts customer satisfaction
Continuous improvement mindset
Education & Experience
Preferred: Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
Alternatively: High School Diploma / GED with relevant manufacturing or quality experience
2–3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or quality control is preferred
