About the Role

<p><strong>JOB SUMMARY</strong></p><p class="pf0"><span class="cf0"><strong>Location HTPN Downtown Dallas TX</strong></span></p><p class="pf0"><span class="cf0"><strong>Department AP Histology Lab </strong></span></p><p class="pf0"><span class="cf0"><strong>Shift Evening 9pm- 5am </strong></span></p><p class="pf0"><span class="cf0"><strong>Preferred Experience ASCP HT and or HTL certified with at least 3 years of routine histology IHC and Special Stain Automation CAP experience a must </strong></span><br><br>The Histotechnician 3 performs and monitors a variety of anatomic procedures and processes, assumes responsibility for problem resolutions, training others on all aspects of the department with minimal supervision.<br><br><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE</strong><br><br>Perform variety of technical procedures resulting in creation of microscopic slide preparations.<br><br>Follow quality control, quality assurance, safety, and infection control procedures.<br><br>Recognize and take appropriate action when established procedures and policies are not followed.<br><br>Perform instrument maintenance, maintain appropriate inventory of supplies and troubleshooting as needed.<br><br>Maintain effective communication and working relationships with all laboratory personnel, other disciplines, and external customers.<br><br>Participate in laboratory projects and educational activities.<br><br>Demonstrates and educates laboratory principles, technical skills and provide direction to others.<br><br>Performs all delegated functions as defined by facility CLIA Director.
