GenAI Platform/Infrastructure Engineer

Our client is seeking a Platform / DevOps Engineer to support a prestigious financial services client based in Edison, NJ. This role is a contract-to-hire position that focuses on building and scaling infrastructure for GenAI-enabled applications in a secure, enterprise AWS environment.

This critical role is responsible for designing, implementing, and operating cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines supporting GenAI agent platforms. The engineer will work heavily in AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code (CDK preferred, Terraform a plus), supporting multi-account deployments, secure runtime environments, and production-grade data services including graph databases and Redis.

You will own and evolve deployment patterns for containerized services, manage secure access patterns (OIDC, IAM, least privilege), and ensure scalable, repeatable, and compliant infrastructure across environments. This role also partners closely with security teams to maintain strong controls in a regulated environment while enabling rapid platform iteration.

Requirements:

• Experience securing AI/LLM platforms, agent orchestration layers, or API-driven enterprise GenAI platforms.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience (IAM, CloudFormation, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, SSM, Secrets Manager, ECR, VPC)
• Experience building and maintaining infrastructure using AWS CDK (Terraform experience a plus)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, or similar)
• Strong understanding of IAM design, including least privilege, role separation, and OIDC-based authentication
• Experience supporting multi-account / multi-environment AWS deployments
• Production experience with containerized workloads and image build/deploy pipelines
• Experience operating or supporting stateful services such as:
• Graph databases (Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, or similar)
• Redis / in-memory data stores (ElastiCache, MemoryDB, or equivalent)
• Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed cloud systems (networking, IAM, deployments, runtime issues)
• Experience with AWS Bedrock or GenAI/agent-based architectures
