About the Role

<p>Mechanical Project Engineer (Data Centre)   📍 Location: Netherlands📅 Start: ASAP⏱ Duration: 12 months (strong potential for extension)💰 Attractive Day Rate: Competitive     The ideal candidate will support the delivery of mechanical engineering projects within live operational data centres, focusing on brownfield environments including upgrades, retrofits, and infrastructure expansions.   This individual will coordinate and manage the execution of mechanical systems used in mission critical facilities, ensuring work is delivered safely and efficiently while maintaining operational continuity within active data centre environments.   The candidate will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams, supporting the delivery of high-performance data centre infrastructure upgrades and improvements.   Responsibilities Deliver mechanical engineering projects within live operational data centre environments Support upgrades, retrofits, and expansions within existing mission critical facilities Coordinate mechanical systems including HVAC, cooling infrastructure, plant rooms, and hydronic systems Support shutdown planning and risk mitigation within operational facilities Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams Monitor project progress to ensure safety, reliability, and performance standards Support the delivery of mechanical infrastructure improvements within data centre environments   Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline 3–8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, project engineering, or site delivery Proven experience working on data centre projects or mission critical facilities Experience delivering projects in brownfield or live operational environments Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, cooling infrastructure, and mechanical plant systems Experience coordinating subcontractors and project stakeholder     We are looking to hire quickly, and interviews are already being scheduled.   If you are a Mechanical Project Engineer with data centre experience and are interested in working on mission critical infrastructure projects, we encourage you to apply.   Early applications are encouraged as the role will move quickly through the interview process.   Dutch language required – minimum B2 / professional working proficiency.</p>
