About the Role

Gas & Chemical TechnicianLocation: Santa Clara, CA (Supports multiple semiconductor facilities throughout Santa Clara and Sunnyvale) Position OverviewSirius Staffing is seeking skilled Gas & Chemical Technicians to support the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of specialty gas, chemical, and slurry distribution systems supporting semiconductor wafer fabrication facilities throughout Santa Clara and Sunnyvale.Technicians will support critical gas, chemical, and slurry distribution systems that enable semiconductor wafer fabrication while ensuring safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operation. This role is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, installations, decommissioning, quality compliance, emergency preparedness, and maintaining a Zero Incident safety culture.This is a hands-on mechanical maintenance position supporting semiconductor process utilities. This is NOT a material handler position. ScheduleTraining ScheduleMonday – Friday7:00 AM – 3:30 PMFirst 2–3 months of employmentUpon successful completion of training, technicians will transition to a compressed 12-hour schedule supporting a 24/7 operation. Team members are assigned to one of four rotating crews (A, B, C, or D) based on business needs.Shift OptionsDay Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PMNight Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AMApplicants must be flexible to work either day or night shifts following completion of training. Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative and corrective maintenance on specialty gas, chemical, and slurry distribution systems.Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, install, and decommission gas and liquid chemical delivery equipment.Perform gas cylinder and chemical drum change-outs following established operating procedures.Support gas cabinets, valve manifold boxes (VMBs), bulk gas systems, and liquid chemical delivery equipment.Troubleshoot pumps, valves, regulators, instrumentation, pneumatic components, and associated process equipment.Perform leak detection, equipment testing, system verification, and operational checks.Follow all SOPs, LOTO procedures, quality systems, and Environmental Health & Safety requirements.Wear full PPE, including supplied-air respirators, while handling hazardous chemicals and specialty gases.Maintain maintenance documentation, operating procedures, and quality records.Support emergency response procedures and maintain strict safety compliance. Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.Strong mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining or troubleshooting industrial equipment.Ability to work a compressed 12-hour day or night schedule following completion of training.Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency (MS Office). Candidates should be comfortable working around hazardous chemicals, performing cylinder and drum change-outs, wearing full PPE and respirators, and following strict safety and quality procedures.Candidates with direct experience supporting semiconductor gas and chemical distribution systems, wafer fabrication operations, specialty gas equipment, slurry systems, and cleanroom manufacturing environments will receive the strongest consideration.
