Sales Assistant (Seasonal)

The ExtraCare Charitable Trust are recruiting for a dedicated part time Sales Assistant (Seasonal) to work alongside the Shop Team, at our Charity Shop in Buxton based in Derbyshire.

Role Details:

 

• Role       : Sales Assistant (Seasonal)
• Hours     : Flexible hours available; up to 16 hours/week for the right candidate.
• Contract : Part-time / Temporary (3 Months)
• Salary     : £12.71 per hour (£4,970.24pa pro-rata, based on £24,851.23 pa FTE)
• Location : Altar Way, Buxton, Derbyshire, SK17 9UT

What will you do as our Sales Assistant?

• Achieve maximum sales at all times.
• Deliver and maintain a high standard of customer service.
• Ensure high standards of merchandising and cleanliness are maintained throughout the shop.
• Support the shop/deputy manager to actively promote the Gift Aid scheme adhering to the policies, work instructions and HMRC guidelines.
• Ensure all stock is consistently priced in line with policy.
• Ensure there are adequate stock levels on the shop floor and that stock is rotated according to company guidelines.
• Assist in the day-to-day supervision of volunteers.
• Assist in the recruitment and training of volunteers

Our ideal Sales Assistant:

• Will have previous retail experience and experience of cash handling.
• Have knowledge/experience of administrative duties.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Be a team player with good organisational skills.
• IT literate and numerate, plus good communication skills
