Prachi, Technology Consultant, gives insight into her role and a typical day
As a Salesforce consultant, my role is to help organisations leverage Salesforce to meet their business objectives. I work closely with clients to understand their needs, design customised solutions, and implement Salesforce features to optimise business processes. My responsibilities include gathering requirements, writing User Stories, collaborating with the technical team, providing training and support to users, and ensuring the system aligns with the client's goals. I also stay updated on the latest Salesforce developments and best practices to provide strategic advice and drive continuous improvement.
My role extends beyond client-related work to include supporting various internal BearingPoint projects. For example, I assist senior leaders with proposition development, train new joiners on Salesforce practice methodologies, and help organise activities for the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committee.
A typical day as a Salesforce Consultant involves a variety of activities to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction. I start by reviewing communications from my team and clients, followed by attending meetings to discuss project progress and priorities. I gather and analyse client requirements, collaborate with the technical team to design solutions, and lead training sessions for end-users. Additionally, I prepare user stories and test cases, draft status reports for stakeholders, and address any urgent issues that arise. Throughout the day, I focus on strategic planning to meet client requirements and deliver value to them.
Being new to London, I spend my weekends exploring the city, socialising with friends, and learning about the different cultures. During weekdays, I like to cook and read fiction. BearingPoint colleagues have not only helped me to settle in a new job, but also in a new city by suggesting activities and places to explore.
