Performance Analyst (Data Engineer – Advanced Analytics)
Location: London / Remote
Rate: Up to £500 per day
Clearance: BPSS required to start
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Performance Analyst to support product teams by delivering high-quality data insights and actionable reporting. You will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making by developing dashboards, analysing performance, and defining meaningful KPIs.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative, cross-functional environment, partnering with product managers, designers, developers, and data teams to enhance analytics capability and improve digital products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and analytics reports
- Translate business and product requirements into clear KPIs and reporting solutions
- Deliver ad-hoc analysis to support product improvements and decision-making
- Design and optimise dashboards with consistent metrics and time-based comparisons
- Ensure data quality, governance, and alignment across multiple data sources
- Apply measurement frameworks to support long-term analytics strategy
- Collaborate closely with product, analytics, and data engineering teams
Key Technical Skills
- Strong experience in Power BI visualisation (or equivalent)
- Experience working with data platforms such as Databricks (or similar)
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience optimising large-scale queries and managing compute resources/clusters
Soft Skills
- Self-starter with the ability to manage workload independently
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Proactive and adaptable, managing multiple workstreams effectively
- Experience working in cross-functional teams (Agile and/or Waterfall)
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle
Nice to Have
- Experience with Adobe Analytics or other web analytics tools
- Exposure to data lake architectures or strong relational database experience
- Familiarity with Generative AI projects
- Experience working on large-scale digital applications
