We’re hiring Painter / Exterior Finisher to help drive our continued success!
Purpose of the role:
MHIRJ’s network of service centers, support offices and parts depots are positioned in important aviation hubs in the U.S. The Painter / Exterior Finisher performs surface preparation on the repaired component, and new parts/assemblies.
Here are the daily responsibilities of a Painter / Exterior Finisher:
Comply with environmental health / safety policies / procedures. Participate in 5-S activities.
Perform all work in a safe and timely manner.
Perform surface preparation on the aircraft, repaired component, and new parts/assemblies.
Apply primer / topcoat / final spray.
Perform touch ups as needed.
Polish painted surfaces for finished appearance.
Install sealant and erosion tape.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Here’s what is required to succeed:
Must have a minimum of one (1) year painting experience or equivalent completed vocational training (i.e., aviation, automotive or marine)
Must have satisfactory results on Pulmonary Function evaluation in order to obtain respirator certification.
You have formal vocational training or equivalent. (preferred)
You have customer service / aviation work experience. (preferred)
You have basic PC skills. (preferred)
You have basic knowledge pulling maintenance manuals / IPCs from computer. (preferred)
You have basic knowledge of regulations dealing with transportation of hazardous materials. (preferred)
You have demonstrated ability to communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status. (preferred)
You have demonstrated ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings. (preferred)

Position requires full-time presence at our Bridgeport, WV facility with on-site collaboration essential to role success
12-hours shifts on a 3/4/4/3 schedule, which includes days, nights and weekends.
